The Friends of Fort Dupont Park
The Friends of Fort Dupont Park (FOFTDU) is a non-profit organization, located in Washington DC, and is interested to supporting the National Park Services' Fort Dupont Park.  The Friends Group is comprised of members and volunteers dedicated to helping to enhance Fort Dupont Park programming and services by helping to increase volunteers and program awareness, and throught the support of cultural, educational, and environmental programming.  

Some of the many programs include Feet in the Street, Fort Dupont Summer Theatre Concert Series, Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM), Hiker Biker Trails, and the Junior Ranger Program.

Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) Family Fun Day

Junior Ranger Program
Kids in grades k-5 explore, discover, and learn to protect the natural, cultural, environmental,  and historical resources of Fort Dupont Park. The Junior Ranger Program helps keep kids active as they hike, grow, learn and become official Junior Rangers. Badges and certificates are provided. 

Park Rangers meet at Fort Dupont Park every Thursday, at 4:00 pm in the  activity center located on Fort Dupont Drive, for the Junior Ranger meeting.
